These PM2 scales are CNC Milled, Grade 5 titanium, made in the USA.
They are direct replacements for the standard PM2 scales.
These scales are contoured with a constant radius across the width which provides a more comfortable feeling in the hand and a much better fit in the pocket. Also the scales are thinner than the standard scales so they take up less room in the pocket. Because these are made from titanium they are extremely strong and light. They weight 2.0 ounces for a set (the standard scales weigh about 0.8 ounces). It would be extremely difficult to bend them with your hands.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. These scales are milled to fit standard PM2 internal liners. Some special releases, like the CruWare Micarta PM2, come with what they call "full skeletonized stainless steel liners". These will not fit any standard PM2 scales.
2. The standard PM2 lanyard tube has a small lip on the outside edge, which is meant to press into the G-10. To use the standard lanyard tube you need to file off a few thousands of an inch off the lip to get it to fit in the lanyard tube hole. This is because titanium will not stretch to allow this tube to be inserted. If the lanyard hole was made bigger the lanyard tube would rattle around. Flytanium makes a replacement lanyard tube without this lip if you don't want to file off this edge.
